Mediterranean Style in California

The owners of this beautiful home wanted something more than ordinary paint for the exterior surfaces.  I applied three different, extremely transparent colorwashes using light-resistant pigments in an impermeable medium and sealed the work with a clear, UV-resistant, waterproof  finish.  The finish has the subtlety and luminosity of watercolor, and the authentic look of a naturally aged, Mediterranean exterior.  I painted the four half-columns flanking the entryway to simulate a light fossilstone marble.  I believe that the results speak for themselves.
