WhWhen
I first saw this door, it was painted a plain off-white,
and the attractive leaded glass panels were completely lost and
flat. Inspired by the nearby rusted
iron gate, I treated the door and trim
to a succession of red-brown glazes, with a little 'chilled' white
wiped into the moldings to complement the white in the glass. The
job was finished in a gloss marine varnish to protect it from the
elements. |
