This whimsical piece began life as a
mass-production dark-stained oak cabinet purchased by my client at
a flea market in Pasadena.
The zebra-striped top and metallic
copper-coloured handles and door trim were painted in acrylics,
the rest of the cabinet variously glazed, wiped, or scumbled in
oils.
Ι always wanted to do a zebra-striped
piece.
